QUL YA AZEEM

Du'a is an Arabic term which means to 'call out' or to 'summon'. Muslims use this term and call out to God, and Muslims regard this as one of the greatest acts of worship in Islam. The Prophet Muhammad sal Allahu Alayhi Wa Sallam said "Dua is the very essence of worship."

This nasheed calls upon God, using a selection of His (SWT) most powerful name(attributes), Al Azeem (The Incomparably Great), to ask God's blessings on His Messenger (uwbp).

Qul Ya Azeem antal Azeem
Qad hammana hammun Azeem
Wa qullu shay in hammana
Ya hunu bismika Ya Azeem

Antal Qadeem, Qadeemu fil azal
Antal Lateef, Lateefu lam tazal
Anna azil ma qad nazal
Min fadihil khatibish shadeed

Baki Ghaniy, aniyyun Majidu
